Yansly Marrero is a dedicated Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern providing therapy for children, adolescents, and families. She works with young clients who may be struggling with behavioral challenges, emotional regulation difficulties, anxiety, school-related stress, or family transitions.
Many of the children and teens Yansly supports experience:
Yansly understands that children communicate differently than adults. Her approach is developmentally appropriate, supportive, and collaborative. She incorporates play-based techniques, behavioral strategies, emotional regulation tools, and family involvement to create meaningful change.
For adolescents, Yansly provides a safe and respectful space to explore identity, peer relationships, stress management, and emotional growth. She works to strengthen coping skills while fostering self-awareness and confidence.
Yansly believes parents play a vital role in the therapeutic process. She offers parent guidance and family sessions when appropriate to help improve communication, reinforce healthy patterns at home, and support long-term progress.
Yansly is passionate about helping children and families build stronger relationships, healthier emotional responses, and lasting resilience.
