Hi, I’m Katherine. I am a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern passionate about creating a safe, encouraging, and collaborative space where individuals and couples can engage in meaningful therapeutic healing. I believe in embracing health and wholeness across all areas of life and supporting clients as they explore the connection between mind, body, spirit, and family.
My approach is integrative, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s unique needs. I believe therapy is most effective when clients feel heard, understood, and actively involved in their own healing process.
I often utilize Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy while integrating approaches including attachment theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy. These approaches allow me to meet clients where they are and develop a therapeutic process that supports both personal growth and healthier relationships.
I am especially passionate about working with young adults and couples as they navigate the challenges and transitions that can arise throughout life. I provide support for clients experiencing:
I have a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from a mental health approach as well as a master’s degree in Pastoral Counseling from Asbury Theological Seminary. I am committed to continuing to learn and expand my clinical skills so I can provide thoughtful and effective support to the individuals and couples I work with.
I have completed Levels 1 and 2 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and am certified in Prepare-Enrich and Psychological Skills for Recovery.
Whether you are working through anxiety, navigating a major life transition, exploring patterns within yourself, or seeking to strengthen your relationship, I strive to create a supportive environment where you can feel safe to explore what matters most.
With couples, I focus on creating space for greater understanding, connection, and healthy communication. My goal is to help partners better understand themselves and one another while developing tools that can support healthier and more meaningful relationships.
I believe healing can involve many areas of our lives. I seek to support clients in engaging their mind, body, spirit, and family as part of the therapeutic process. Together, we can explore the experiences, relationships, and patterns that may be influencing your current challenges while identifying practical steps toward greater health and wholeness.
Outside of counseling, I enjoy spending time with my family, dogs, and friends. I also enjoy visiting the many theme parks in the Orlando area and reading a variety of genres, including historical fiction, fantasy, and classic novels.
I look forward to continuing to grow as a counselor and expanding my skills and knowledge so that I can continue providing meaningful support to individuals and couples throughout their therapeutic journey.
